Appreciate the elegance of our Victorian and Georgian furniture, cast iron fireplaces and furnishings of a high standard.
We have 3 guest rooms, a double bedded room, a twin bedded room both with shower/toilet.
There is also a family suite, comprising of a double bedded room with full bathroom suite/over bath shower, with an adjacent twin bedded room.
All three rooms contain flat screen TV, clock /radio alarm, hair dryer and full coffee/tea making facilities. An Iron is available on request.
We serve a full cooked breakfast prepared on our Aga, menu as follows Fruit Juice, grapefruit, yoghurt,
cereals and fresh fruit, followed by a Full English breakfast, or vegetarian options, are available on request, tea, coffee or herbal teas also.
All our produce is freshly bought from local suppliers to ensure the best quality.
Our time for breakfast can be variable to suit our guests, but as you can appreciate we must have a guideline, and so we can accommodate times, from 7am until 9.30 am.
We are ideally situated for visiting,
historic places of interest, Towneley Hall, a magnificent house with its extensive gardens, lake and fountain, steeped in history with antique furnishings, art gallery, servants kitchen and dining hall, and hosts weekly exhibitions on local events in and around Burnley.
17th Century Gawthorpe Hall at nearby Padiham, an Elizabethan Gem, built around 1600 for the Shuttleworth family, Medieval Skipton Castle, once a royalist stronghold, the beautiful Yorkshire Dales and Ribble Valley, not to mention the famous shopping outlets of Boundary Mill, Oswaldtwistle Mills, and Barden Mill which now has a narrowboat marina situated to the rear, with spectacular views of Pendle Hill.
Many museums are within easy reach and of course the beautiful building of our local Heritage Centre, situated in nearby Barrowford. You can also take a leisurely trip aboard a narrow boat on the scenic Leeds Liverpool canal from Foulridge.

Directions:
From Junction 8, M65 proceed along A 6068 , through two sets of traffic lights and straight for 3 miles to the sign for Fence. Turn left by the Bay Horse pub, second left by Holgates, up a narrow lane, take second left for Barley/Newchurch. Up the hill and down, passing Mill on left and up the hill into Newchurch village passing school and church on right. We are opposite Witches Galore shop.
